Syria unrest - Friday of dignity

On a wave of people's revolutions in islamic countries of Middle East and Northern Africa. Tension of antigoverment protests grew up in Syria since January 2011. On March number of people killed by security forces increased rapidly. 25 of March in Syria was announced "Friday of dignity". Regime opponents gathered in Umayyad Mosque in Damascus to show up their solidarity with those killed in city Daraa.

However counterdemonstration organised by government outnumbered Bashar Al-Assad opponents. Over 30 people were arrested and 3 killed. Testigo lost most of pictures when their photographer was stopped by security forces and memory card was confiscated. According to Amnesty International since mid-March unrests in Syria until May 2011 more than 580 were killed by regime forces.
