Sikh Kitchen

The Sikhs are one of the most recognizable religious communities in the world.
Their homeland is Punjab in India and Pakistan. Their religion, created in the 15th century, is a unique blend of Islam and Hinduism.

Their religion strongly influences social life which is the base of building a strong community in Punjab as well as a strong diaspora in India and around the world. One of the many aspects of Sikh cultural and religious habits is common eating in temples (Gurdwaras).

The most important Sikh Temple (Harmandir Sahib) in Amritsar India, apart from the religious fellowship, prayers and ablutions, serves free food for people of all states.
