The Kashubian boat race
Author: Paweł Wyszomirski Blog / 17 September, 2013 / Age: 4 yrs

The annual race of Kashubian wooden boats. The boats are constructed by local boatbuilders from Chałupy and Jastarnia villages. The shape of the boat is inspired by the boat type called 'pomeranka' which used to be a regular fishing boat on  the Puck Bay for since mid ages. The construction of the boat has evolved to match natural conditions of shallow waters of the Puck Bay.
