Basket weaving at Vistula River - part 2
Author: Maciej Moskwa Blog / 7 April, 2012 / Age: 6 yrs

Again, we paid a visit to Mr. Jerzy Kramaszewski from the Kosowo Village in Swiecie County.  He seems to be one of the very last basket weavers who lives and works in the Lower Vistula Valley.  He uses wicker, a natural fiber, to make his baskets.  He was 13 years old when he started to learn his craft.  Nowadays he uses the skills he learned in basketmaking to earn enough money to keep a tiny farm in the countryside. Find out more about Mr. Kramaszewski.
